On November 14, 2023 Starfish Stories Publishing released its first annual anthology project: A collection of stories that bears witness to the extraordinary lives of stories of ordinary women. We intend to use this project to cultivate safe and sacred spaces for women to share their lives with one another and the world.ย
ย
In this special blog series, it is our honor to introduce these women to you ๐ย
ย
Erin Werneke
Shoreview, MN. United States.
ย
Why did you decide to participate in this project?
It is just one of my stories to inspire the world.
ย
In 1 sentence, what is your chapter about?
The faith of a child.
Who do you hope reads your chapter? Who is your chapter written for?
Mothers who have found themselves struggling to make entrepreneurship work for them.
ย
What impact do you think your chapter will have on our readersโ lives?
I hope my chapter reminds them who is watching them and for whom they are working.
ย
What have you learned about yourself from participating in this project?
I am brave enough to tell my story.
ย
If you could go back in time, and give your 10-year-old self some advice, encouragement, or wisdom, what would you want her to know?
You are loved, valuable, and precious.
ย
Why do you think other women should consider participating in a project/experience like this one?
It gives them a voice. Just like each butterfly’s flap of a wing affects the earth, so does the story of each woman who lifts her voice to give hope and strength to those around her.
What is your favorite book of all time?
“Altogether You” by Jenna Riemersma. It’s the book that helped me begin to love myself.
