On November 14, 2023 Starfish Stories Publishing released its first annual anthology project: A collection of stories that bears witness to the extraordinary lives of stories of ordinary women. We intend to use this project to cultivate safe and sacred spaces for women to share their lives with one another and the world.
In this special blog series, it is our honor to introduce these women to you π
Sara Gama
San Antonio, TX. United States.
Why did you decide to participate in this project?
I love writing and love the idea of helping others.
In one sentence, what is your chapter about?
My chapter is about how life didnβt go the way I thought it was going to, but it lead to the best decision of my life.
Who do you hope reads your chapter? Who is your chapter written for?
My chapter is for Mamas wondering if theyβre enough.
What impact do you think your chapter will have on our readersβ lives?
I pray my chapter will be an encouragement on their motherhood journey.
What have you learned about yourself from participating in this project?
Iβm more than capable of doing what Iβve set out to do.
If you could go back in time, and give your 10-year-old self some advice, encouragement, or wisdom, what would you want her to know?
Trust the plan God has for you. It is so much better than anything you could have done for yourself.
Why do you think other women should consider participating in a project/experience like this one?
Writing is such an amazing way to heal and it is a blessing to encourage others who are βstuck: in a place you once were.
What is your favorite book of all time?
I love the bible!! Other than that, Pretty much anything from Nora Roberts. I also love anything Jonathan Cahn has written.
